1 September Monday
-Resistance leader Shabir Shah detained under PSA and shifted to Srinagar Central Jail.
-Resistance leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Yasin Malik released from captivity.
-Resistance Leader Syed Ali shhah Geelani has been shifted to SKIMS Hospital
-CRPF troopers beat up and fire live ammunition and tear gas at protesters in Batmalloo
-No relaxation in curfew in Sopore, Varmul, Kupwara, Handwara,Nowhata, Rajouri Kadal, Nallahmar Road, Bohri Kadal
-Legal luminary A.G. Noorani: Govt-Samiti land settlement worse than May cabinet order
-Jammu Kashmir Peoples League condemns the statement of National Security Advisor regarding the cause of the martyrdom of Shaheed Sheikh Abduil Aziz.
-Curfew continues for 9th day

31 August Sunday
-Two youth injured in Rajouri Kadal when CRPF troopers fire live ammunition and smoke canisters
-Several people injured in Nowhatta when CRPF troopers fire on people buying vegetables. Amir Ahangar, Irshad Ahmad Keena and Nisar Ahmad serious.
-Ashwini of Special Operations Group (SOG) of Police throws grenade in room while intimidating the household of Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani. Following are injured: Ghulam Mohiudin his wife Naseema Bano, Abdul Qayoom Khanday, Ruby Jan and Jan Muhammad and Ashwini. Ashwini has been placed under suspension. Contradicting his suspension,Sp Shopian, Javaid Iqbal said: “Grenade was thrown from outside to kill Ashwani. Had the device been exploded by the constable himself he would have died."
-3 truckers Shoukat Ahmad of Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Wani driving truck number (JK13 9828), Muhammad Ayoub KHan driving truck number (JK13 6970) attacked by Jammu mobsters in Kathua.Attack took place after the appeasement of rightwing Amarnath Sangharsh Samiti by the INdian government.
-Bandipora Students federation demands release of youths abducted in connection with demonstrations
-Nomads of Batawaley, Grathpatri and Radha are surviving by taking bread for lunch and dinner since rice supplies are not reaching them.
-Governer Narender Nath Vohra pleads ignorance as to attacks on journalists by CRPF troopers
-Pro-freedom demonstrations in Rajouri Kadal, Nowhatta, Malaratta, Saraf Kadal, Nawab Bazar, Zaldager, Nallah Mar, Habba Kadal and Tankipora
-Non-Kashmiri "Kashmir committee" reaches agreement with non-Kashmiri "Amarnath Samiti" over transfer of Kashmiri land. Samiti convener Leela Karan Sharma "e have suspended the agitation for the time being and not called it off, as some of our demands are yet to be met." "The exclusive use of the land has been given to the board without charging any money. This has been agreed upon"
--Jammu mobsters and extremist elements from India celebrate agreement between INdian government and non-Kashmir Amarnath Samiti for transfer of Kashmir land by holding Victory march. INdian trooopers resort to teargas and baton charging but mobsetrs coverge onto M.A.M. stadium
-Srinagar-Muzaffarabad trade route may be opened as "gesture of goodwill" to people of Kashmir, as per Saifuddin Soz
-Massive peaceful demonstration in Habba Kadal following the beating of Abdul Rauf who was going to pray. DSP Zulfiqar promises to look into the matter. CRPF officer apologises when crowd refuses to disperse.

-Kashmiri Resistance announces course of action: 01/09 people to hold peaceful demonstrations, 02/08-04/08 Complete shutdown to be observed
- National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah terms Amarnath accord "a very good sign" which has reached an "amicable end"
-PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti said " "The decision has been taken unilaterally by the Central Government, which has not taken care of the sensitivity of the majority community"
-Lal Chowk Chalo has NOT been canceled and next date to be announced.
-Indian govt. acquiring six feet wide and seven feet high barricades for use on Srinagar streets to stop demonstrations.
-Work on Mughal road stopped connecting Kashmir with Poonch and Rajouri has been stopped. As per HCC Assistant Project Manager Rajiv Kumar : "We stopped work at kilometre 25 as forest officials have denied permission to us to fell a dozen pine trees" Mughal Road Action Committee (MRAC), formed by the residents of the Poonch and Rajoui, threatens that in case the work on Mughal road is not resumed in a week’s time, they will launch “Kashmir Chalo Movement”.

30 August Saturday
-Imam of Jamia Masjid Reshipora, Abdul Majid Wani abducted by troops fom Batpora cap. Father Abdul Khaliq tries to register FIR but police refuse to register case.
-ABdul Ahad kashmiri and 4 others abducted by Indian Security forces in Handwara
-Mehbooba Mufti (PDP) rejects UN enquiry into killings in Kashmir. As per Mehbooba killing is an internal matter of India
-Group "Concerned young citizens of india" group oraganising silent march to express solidarity with peple of kashmir-Daily Newspaper Etalaat stops publication due to unprecedented curfew restrictions. Journalists have been barred even the manhandles and abused by Indian Security forces.
-Resistance Leader Ayaz Akbar hidden by abductors in Sumbal police station
-Resistance Leader masrat Alam abducted by Indian Security Forces
People Union of Civil Liberties, Peoples Union for Democratic Rights (PUDR) and Janhastakshep (People's Intervention Group, Delhi), CPI(M), left and civil rights organisations sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar, Delhi extending full support to Kashmiris and demanding that Kashmiris be given freedom.
-Pro-Kashmiri protest by Concerned Young Citizens of Mumbai (CYCM) derailed when Hindu chauvinist led by filmmaker Ashok Pandit (film Sheen) intimidate demonstrators and detain them in police station. Police later released them all on the condition that there won’t be any protest in support of Kashmir.
-Curfew continues for 7th day
