Khunmoh residents allege harassment, stage midnight protest

Srinagar, Sep 11: Residents of Khunmoh in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district took to the roads, Wednesday night to protest against the “reign of terror” unleashed by the troopers.
“ Troopers of Rashtriya Riffles stopped the truck drivers and beat them up to pulp without any provocation,” a resident told Greater Kashmir over phone late in the night.
He said that residents informed the concerned Station House Officer, but he refused to register an FIR.
Later residents took to the roads and staged a protest, the caller said, adding, we called off the protest fearing that troopers may open fire. “We are living under constant fear and threat ,” he added.
